Joint Meeting of Head of NRWO and Head of Water, Agriculture and Environment Affairs of the Planning and Budget Organization Held at NRWO
In the joint meeting of Heads of NRWO and Water, Agriculture and Environment Affairs of the Planning and Budget Organization (PBO) chaired by Dr. Mansour, Vice Minister and Head of NRWO which was held at NRWO Headquarters on Sunday, 12 June 2022, a special emphasis was placed on enhancing coordination and mutual interface for effective planning and implementation of NRWO's projects and natural resource management plans.
12 June 2022 - In this meeting, Massoud Mansour, Head of NRWO considered the effective and full implementation of natural resources and watershed management projects as a necessity of our vast land today and noted that this year the obligations and missions of NRWO will be implemented within the framework of Production, Knowledge-based and Employment-creating for Natural Resources development).
He also mentioned that promotion of conservative and supportive measures for forest management, especially in the Hyrcani Forests, management of nurseries, strengthening of the Forest Guard and development of watershed management and aquifer recharge activities in basins are priorities that require the support and cooperation of the Planning and Budget Organization (PBO).
Meanwhile, Farrokh Masjedi, Head of Water, Agriculture and Environment Affairs of the Planning and Budget Organization; expressed his satisfaction with the implementation of natural resources and watershed management projects, called for enhancing coordination and bilateral ties and interaction between the two organizations and announced his readiness to support natural resources and watershed management projects.
It is worth mentioning that in this meeting, NRWO's performance in 2021 as well as the NRWO's foreseen plans and measuresfor 2022were presented for audiences.
Head of Water, Agriculture and Environment Affairs of the Planning and Budget Organization and his deputies also visited memorial of martyrs of natural resources and NRWO's under construction building.
